Who we build for
Material
The wood we use
Elmar Wood sources its wood from HASSLACHER NORICA TIMBER in Austria, a group with more than 120 years in wood processing.
CLT
Cross-laminated timber
Several layers of boards, glued crosswise to each other, become one solid panel. It carries loads in several directions, insulates well and goes up quickly.
- Panels up to 13.5 m long
- Sanded or calibrated surface
- CE marked under ETA-12/0281

Technical data
- Where it is used
- Walls, floors and roofs, bracing walls, modular buildings and carports.
- Advantages
- Lighter than reinforced concrete, high fire resistance, a pleasant indoor climate and fast assembly. The manufacturer has also certified it for earthquake safety.
- Surface
- Water-based coatings for indoors and outdoors, and fire-retardant impregnation up to class B-s2, d0 for areas sheltered from rain.
- Certificates
- CE marked under ETA-12/0281, with an EPD environmental product declaration under ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
Glulam
Glued laminated timber
Dried timber layers glued into a single beam. It carries large loads at a low weight, does not warp, and can be made straight, curved or in a special shape.
- Up to 4 m high and 13.5 m long
- Straight, curved or shaped
- To the EN 14080 standard

Technical data
- Where it is used
- Main beams over large spans, trusses and roofs, outdoors too, columns and ceilings.
- Advantages
- Stable in shape thanks to the gluing, fast and dry construction, worked with simple tools and 100% recyclable.
- Small beams
- Small laminated beams, planed and with chamfered edges, for the substructure of terraces, facades and balconies, and for fences and gardens. They hardly warp.
- Standard
- Made to the European standard EN 14080.
DUO/TRIO
Glued solid timber
Two or three timber layers glued into one beam. The visible face has no glue joints, and the timber is cut without the heart of the log, so it cracks very little.
- No glue joints on the visible face
- Light-coloured glue line
- Standard sizes in stock

Technical data
- Where it is used
- Exposed roof trusses and beams, ceilings with exposed beams, load-bearing frames and panels for walls and ceilings.
- Advantages
- Minimal cracking, stable in shape thanks to gluing and technical drying, fire resistance and good insulation.
- Supply
- The manufacturer keeps all standard sizes and lengths in stock, for quick delivery.
The technical data come from the manufacturer's website, HASSLACHER NORICA TIMBER, summarised by us. The photos are illustrations.
